In the early 1600’s the Dutch were the leading nation sailing out to unknown parts of the world, with the biggest naval fleet in the world. With some serious sea legs, they discovered foreign lands, different ways of life but also ran into some big obstacles along the way.
For good luck the men had a tattoo of a pig and a hen on their feet. It was believed it gave the sailors the ability to survive when they had to abandon ship.
The sailors believed they would be able to find dry land, just like the Pig and Hen who were kept in wooden crates and floated, and would let the tide bring them home.
Pig&Hen will save your life, even in a tight situation.
Pig&Hen bracelets are handmade in Amsterdam, using authentic ship rope we carry on the Dutch tradition. They are meant to survive a lifetime, are stronger than steel and will age like your wrinkled face.

Sweet Thing Children`s Jewellery Collection is cuteness overload. The magic began in Los Angeles, in 1985 . . . Meredithe (who’s nickname is MerMeri) sitting at her kitchen table some scissors and pens, a BIG pot of glitter. The first MeriMeri cards were made that way. Local Stationery stores loved those cards and asked for more. Soon one kitchen table and one pair of scissors wasn’t enough. Lots of kitchen tables and a much bigger pot of glitter were needed.
Then, in 1987, MeriMeri presented a small collection of handmade cards at the National Stationery Show in New York. The response was phenomenal.
The company grew from a small network of Mums working from home from Meredithe’s designs and direction. These days Meredithe runs a studio of twenty designers and Meri Meri products are sold all over the world.
